SEGWAY PT, ON THE SHORES OF LAKE AND WITH ITS OVERVIEWS!
The tour starts along the shores of Como Lake, one of the most beautiful places in the world, and continues trough the charming streets of the historical centre of the town. Many artists, poets and musicians, who lived here, were inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the scenery and described it in their famous works.
Please be at the meeting point, via Simone Cantoni -GPS 45°49'05.5"N 9°03'58.8"E-, by the waterfront (near Villa Olmo), in order to practice and become accustomed with the Segway PT.
The itinerary begins at Villa Olmo from where we take the path which is both for pedestrian and bicycles. From this romantic promenade it is possible to admire the elegant neoclassical villas built on the western shore of the first dock, between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries by the aristocratic families of Como. Then we go past the recreative area of the public gardens from where you enjoy the panoramic view of the whole city.
Continue on Lungolago Trieste and Viale Geno until you reach Villa Geno and the adjacent characteristic fountain.
At this point you go back to reach the funicular towards Brunate. In a few minutes you will reach an altitude of approximately 515 meters compared to the lakefront height and you will reach a magnificent panoramic point.
Returning to the lakefront and taking back the Segways, in the residual time you will reach the historic center.
At the end of the tour you will return to the meeting point.
It will always be possible to ask a stop to taste typical food (sweet, salty ...).
