SEGWAY PT TOUR AMID THE STREETS OF ROMA!

Discovering Villa Borghese, Rome historical center and Imperial Rome, one of the nicest, and most charming cities: Casina Valadier, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campidoglio, Forum Roman, Fontana di Trevi and Quirinale, 2,30/3 hours.

Meeting point -departure and end-: Castel Sant'Angelo pedestrian area. You'll find our staff at the end of the Sant'Angelo bridge, on the right -GPS 41°54'10.1"N 12°28'03.5"E- an ideal place for getting familiar with your Segway PT.

Nearby, we will discover Piazza Navona: the Baroque Rome’s lounge, stage for the masterpieces of the two main artists of the 17th century, Bernini and Borromini. Walking along the Senate building, we will get to the Pantheon, round temple for excellence, splendid example for generations of modern and ancient architects.

The route continue in Piazza del Campidoglio, the acropolis where resounded in the night the cries of the invading Gauls and where a girl guilty of high treason was thrown from the cliff from which she is named, at the bottom ravine where the bodies rushing outcasts of society. The square today is shown in all its admirable balance renaissance, thanks to a complete redesign promoted by Pope Paul III Farnese and created nothing less than the Master of all time, Michelangelo.

From the Capitol we stop to admire, enraptured, the imposing ruins of what was once the heart of the life of the ancient city, the Roman forum, which developed from the seventh century b.C. and in use until the fall of the Roman Empire. The panoramic view of the remains of the most important buildings such as the temple of Saturn, the Curia, the Arch of Septimius Severus, the Temple of Castor, will offer one unique show with the background, the Colosseum.

If the pedestrian traffic allows it, we will get to Fontana di Trevi, surely the most spectacular and famous of Rome’s fountains, that shows the Acqua Vergine, the aqueduct built by Marco Vipsanio Agrippa, in Rome, in 19 b.C. to fuel his Thermae.

We pass, then, in Villa Borghese and order in meeting point.

It will always be possible to ask a stop to taste typical food (sweet, salty ...).
