Tourist Angels: CSTRents at Roman Campidoglio!
On July 16th, at the Roman Campidoglio, a press conference was held, during which the Angels Tourist Service was introduced.
At this event were present Claudia Loy, Miss Italy finalist, and the reigning  Miss Cinema who tried one of the Segway PT units.
Here is the press release of the Municipality of Rome.
The “Tourist Angels”, operators who run on Segway PT vehicles, two-wheeled electric scooters with low environmental impact, to assist, inform and guide visitors, return as of today (July 16th, 2010) to the main tourist areas of the Capital city. The service, which had already been launched as an experiment last Christmas, will last 12 months.
The project has been supervised by the Municipality of Rome in collaboration with the National Office of Civil Service at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, but it is entirely self-financed by the Municipal Administration. ....
Operators are aged between 18 and 28 years, and to ensure appropriate assistance to the greatest number of tourists, they are able to provide information, in English, as well as in German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese and Russian. They are easy to recognize and identify because of the customization of their clothing and the Segway PT units with the colors and emblem of the Municipality of Rome.
The service of “mobile tourist information” integrates the activities of P.I.T, and will  operate 7 days out of 7, including holidays. Visitors will be able to easily find operators to meet their requirements, and even contact them to report problems or request assistance in case of difficulty. The "Tourist Angels" will be also equipped with mobile phones for telephone consultation from call center 060608 and from P.I.T. The service, coordinated by "Zètema Culture Project" and created in collaboration with "CSTRents" which will provide the Segway PT vehicles, will be granted in the following areas: airports: Fiumicino (2) and Ciampino (1), The Colosseum and Roman Forum (3 ), Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo (3), Pantheon and Piazza Navona (2), Fontana di Trevi (1). During the exploratory phase, there were about 93 thousand contacts recorded by operators, and it is estimated that, during this first year of service “Tourist Angels” will reach around 600 thousand contacts.

Tourist Angels Service: on the move!

The Tourist Angels Service for the Municipality of Rome is active. CSTRents has delivered the mobile units (12, which will operate every day for one year in the historic center of Rome and the airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino).

When  ideas come true, one can’t help but feel proud!

We are talking about 12 Segway PT units going around strategic places in the city of Rome: Coliseum, Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza del Popolo, Pantheon, and the airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino.

The Segway PT units are being guided by multilingual people, easily distinguished by the corporate uniform, who will provide information and assistance to tourists and anyone who may need it.

All vehicles are equipped with forex panel structures: a front panel of 50 x 90cm and two side panels of 40x40cm, their surface will be used, half for corporate communications for the Municipality of Rome, while the remaining other half will be used to allocate advertisements of qualified businesses (CSTRents is coordinating the necessary applications to enable everyone to participate -for any information contact info@cstrents.com-).

Considering the difficulties regarding mobile advertising campaigns in  the historic center of Rome, it is clear that CSTRents managed to sign a contract of absolute importance, characterized by a high potential in terms of direct and indirect contacts.

The Municipality of Rome, in accordance with the procedure of Zètema Project, has launched the tender for the execution of Tourist Angels Service, the Segway PT Mobile Information Source.

After having launched the idea last summer, CSTRents won the tender.

Meaning again a collaboration that exalts  the concept of QUALITY RENTAL, that characterizes CSTRents.

DON’T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY!

Do the batteries on your Segway PT seem to run down?

Let US check them! At an expense of only a few Euros destined to transportation costs ... if they can be fixed, WE WILL REGENERATE THEM!

CSTRents launches an ecological campaign for the recovery of batteries that seem to be run down, but which may still be sufficiently charged for your Segway PT.

Ship your batteries to our Service Center, and if they are run down, we will return them to you, at no cost at all. Pay only the transportation costs (select the mail or courier service of your preference). If after having run the tests, our findings prove to be negative, make arrangements to have your batteries picked up by a company of your choice that you trust (at your expense).

If however, they can be regenerated, pay only 150,00 € per battery (plus 10,00 Euros –a fixed amount for shipments within ITA– regardless of the number of regenerated batteries resent to you).

This is why CSTRents remains a leader in the rental market. It is also our interest to provide services at an affordable cost, that ensures the environmental awareness. Think it over before throwing them out!
